Children Are Invited to St. Mark’s Vacation Bible School – July 26-30
Wilderness Escape: Where God Guides and Provides!
The annual Vacation Bible School at St. Mark’s Church will be held from 9 a.m. to noon daily from July 26-30. Our theme this year “Wilderness Escape: Where God Guides and Provides!” Kids will caravan with Moses and the Israelites as they escape Egypt and learn to trust God. All will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, and collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love. We will follow the CDC Covid-19 protocols and will keep parents updated as we get closer to July. Children ages 4 through 12 of all religions are invited to participate in St. Mark’s VBS. Registration will be held later but put the date on your calendar now! Lots of helpers are needed ages 13 to 99! To find out how to help contact Sherre Henley at email@example.com
VBS staff over the age of 18 will need to complete Safeguarding God's Children training. This training is required by the Diocese of Southwest Florida for everyone who works with children or youth (Sunday School teachers, assistants, nursery personnel, youth ministers), Eucharistic visitors, clergy, church staff, and vestry members. Once you take the original class, your certification is active for five years and then can be renewed online. If you have already taken the training please make sure you are current with the 5 year renewal. Contact Jillian in the church office to learn your Safeguarding status and/or sign up for this training – 813-962-3089 or firstname.lastname@example.org

Monday Morning Bible Study
We began this study last year but its thematic nature lends itself to joining at any time. "The Bible in Depth" is a study for anyone ready to explore the Bible and to reflect deeply on the meaning of Scripture for faith and life. For each of ten themes, we will follow stories and events through the Old Testament and into the New Testament including: God's saving acts; Promise and Covenant; God - the knowable and unknowable; How the Scriptures view the world; leadership; The Kingdom of God; The Law and Righteousness; Wisdom; Worship; Hope. Class meets on Mondays from 10:00-11:30. Study Guides ($35) are available in the office. Questions? Call Sherre Henley 813-417-5804.
This active group meets for a dinner the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall. They also organize to do a lot of "heavy lifting" type projects around the church, like the parish workdays, pressure washing, and painting.
Come play in the dirt and experience joyful bliss in the gardens! Join St. Mark’s working garden club. Have fun, fellowship and contribute to making St. Mark’s a beautiful and peaceful setting. (Susie Towater 813-963-3774)
Youth Group (ages 14 - 18) will be held on Sundays from 5:00 to 6:30. Please come for food and fellowship with a focus on learning about walking with Jesus! Bring your friends!
